Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 25 minutes
Yield: lots of healthy granola
INGREDIENTS
750 ml (3 cups) large-flake oats
2 tablespoons of Zenit organic plant-based protein in dark chocolate
125 ml (1/2 cup) coarsely chopped natural almonds
125 ml (1/2 cup) raw pumpkin seeds (optional)
165 ml (2/3 cup) maple syrup
30 ml (2 tbsp) canola oil
____
125 ml (1/2 cup) mini dark chocolate chips
125 ml (1/2 cup) sweetened Québec dried blueberries in apple juice
METHOD
Place the rack in the center of the oven. Preheat the oven to 165 °C (325 °F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients except the chocolate and blueberries.
Bake for 25 minutes. Stir halfway through cooking.
Let cool completely before adding the chocolate and blueberries.
Store in an airtight container for approximately 3 weeks.
Note: I love adding all kinds of nuts and seeds to my granolas. I often add pumpkin seeds for the fiber and protein they provide, camelina seeds for omega-3s, sunflower seeds, flaxseeds...
Let your imagination run wild; these little additions simply provide more nutrients and fiber...
