On days when we don’t have time to make lunch or our Zoom meetings overlap, we opt for lunch in separate parts.
But is this type of meal healthy? The answer is yes, if we choose good foods. These will provide our bodies with the necessary nutrients and maintain our energy until the next meal.
We just need to make sure to snack on at least the three food groups from Canada’s Food Guide: fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and protein foods—and that’s it!
Here are a few food suggestions to bring along before heading out:
- A Zenit protein energy square
- Ready-to-eat vegetables: baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, mini cucumbers…
- A can of reduced-sodium vegetable juice
- Mixed nuts
- Cheese sticks
- Drinkable yogurt or yogurt in an individual serving
- A container of silken tofu
- Fruit requiring no preparation: apple, peach, pear, banana…
- Whole-grain crackers in a small bag
- A bottle of water
Here’s to speed and good health :-) That’s what being Zenit is all about!
