FAQ – Everything you need to know about Zenit overnight oats

What are protein overnight oats (overnight oats)?
Protein overnight oats are a blend of oats and nutritious ingredients prepared in advance with milk or a plant-based beverage, then left to rest in the refrigerator. They become creamy and ready to eat in the morning, with no cooking required.

What makes Zenit overnight oats different?
Zenit overnight oats are made with simple, natural, local ingredients, with no preservatives. They contain two sources of protein (pea protein and textured soy protein) to promote satiety.

How much protein does a serving of Zenit overnight oats contain?
Each serving contains between 16 and 17 g of protein. In addition, there is the protein from the milk or plant-based beverage you use.

Are Zenit overnight oats made in Quebec?
Yes, they are made and prepared in Quebec, in a local bakery in my hometown.

How do you prepare Zenit overnight oats?
Add the mix to milk or a plant-based beverage, mix well, then let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours or overnight.

Can multiple portions be prepared in advance?
Yes, you can prepare your jars up to 2 days in advance to save time in the morning.

How much milk should I use?
Approximately 165 ml for 125 ml of mix. Adjust according to the desired texture: more milk for creamier oats, less for a thicker texture.

Do the overnight oats contain added sugar?

Yes, they contain a small amount of organic cane sugar.

Are they high in fiber?
Yes, thanks to the oats and natural ingredients (almonds, pumpkin seeds, chia, etc.).

Are they vegan?
Yes, if you use a plant-based beverage.

Are they gluten-free?
No, the oats used come from the Olofée farm in Lac St-Jean. They are not certified, so they may contain gluten.

How long do overnight oats keep?
Up to 2 days in the refrigerator once prepared.

Can they be frozen?
This is not recommended in order to preserve the optimal texture.

When should you eat overnight oats during an active lifestyle?

  • Before a workout (approximately 1.5 to 2 hours beforehand)
A nourishing base rich in carbohydrates and protein that you can enhance with fruit, maple syrup, or another source of carbohydrates.
  • As a breakfast on the go
Perfect for busy mornings: grab your jar and it’s ready.
  • As a post-workout snack

  • At the office or on the go
Easy to transport, they become a healthy option when time is tight.
